Maruti Suzuki to Launch Victoris and e-Vitara SUVs by March 2026

– Maruti Suzuki is preparing for a strong push in the SUV segment with the introduction of two new models – the Victoris and the e-Vitara. The carmaker has confirmed that both SUVs will be launched in the current financial year, i.e., by March 2026, although specific launch dates have yet to be announced.

The new line-up represents an important milestone for Maruti Suzuki. The Victoris will be positioned as a premium midsize SUV that directly takes on the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, while the e-Vitara will be the company’s first fully electric offering, entering a competitive space alongside the Hyundai Creta EV, MG ZS EV and Tata Curvv EV.


Maruti Victoris – The New Arena Flagship

The Victoris is expected to become Arena’s top-of-the-line product and will be available in six trims – LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI (O), ZXI+ and ZXI+ (O). Safety has been given significant emphasis, with the SUV achieving a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, making it Maruti’s safest car to date.

On the features front, the Victoris will get a 10.25-inch infotainment systemdigital driver’s display8-way power-adjustable driver’s seatpanoramic sunroof, and connected car functionalities. Notably, it will also be the first Maruti Suzuki model to offer an 8-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system.

For safety, it comes equipped with 6 airbags and electronic stability control as standard, while higher trims will additionally offer a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, and Level-2 ADAS technologies.


Maruti e-Vitara – First Electric SUV from Maruti

The e-Vitara will mark Maruti Suzuki’s entry into the EV segment, developed on a dedicated skateboard platform. The electric SUV will be offered with two battery pack options – 49kWh and 61kWh, paired with motors delivering 143bhp and 173bhp respectively. The company reports an MIDC range of over 500 km on a single charge, making it one of the most promising long-range EVs in its category.

Design-wise, the e-Vitara sports a bold upright stance, sharp body lines and large alloy wheels. Buyers will have the option to choose from 10 monotone and 4 dual-tone colour schemes.

Inside, the SUV is packed with modern features such as a floating 10.25-inch infotainment display, 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charger, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Safety and driver assistance are well-covered with 7 airbags and Level-2 ADAS.


A Strong Year Ahead

With the Victoris strengthening its midsize SUV line-up and the e-Vitara opening a new chapter in its electric mobility journey, Maruti Suzuki is set to make a significant mark in 2026. The dual launch underscores the brand’s strategy to balance its traditional strength in mass-market cars with a future-oriented focus on electrification.


In short, Maruti Victoris will take on established midsize SUV rivals, while the e-Vitara will position the company firmly in India’s growing EV market.
