New Delhi:
There is good news for the large number of farm workers across the country! The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a flagship scheme of the central government which gives financial help to any farmer that qualifies. Some eligible farmers have received ₹6,000 a year in three equal instalments of ₹2000 through this scheme.
Presently, the attention is focused on the 20th instalment which farmers are waiting for. Media sources have indicated that the 20th instalment will arrive in the farmer's bank account by June 20 2025, but this has not yet been verified by the government.

- Beneficiaries: Eligible landholding farmer families
- Annual Support: ₹6,000 (in three parts)

Current Status of the 20th Installment
The last (19th) installment was transferred in Feb 2025. According to a recent announcement, over 9 crore farmers are expected to receive the 20th installment. However, to timely receive the payment, a few conditions apply:
- eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer) must be completed
- Aadhaar number must be linked with the bank account
- Land records must be verified and updated
Failing these requirements may cause a delay in receiving the amount or missing the installment entirely.
How to Check PM-KISAN Payment Status:
To check if your name has been included on the beneficiary list and your payment has been processed, you must:
- Go to the official website: https://pmkisan.gov.in
- Click on ‘Know Your Status’ or Beneficiary List
- Enter your Aadhaar number or registered mobile number
- Complete the OTP verification
- You will see the status of your payment and application
You can also perform eKYC on the same link and place using OTP or biometrics
Important for Farmers to Remember:
- Ensure that your bank account is linked to your Aadhaar number
- Verify your land ownership details with the revenue department at the local level
- If you have issues, please contact your local agriculture officer or visit your CSC.
Any official update about the 20th installment will be released on the PM-KISAN portal. Farmers should frequently check the site, or periodically visit and check in with their local agriculture offices.
Conclusion
PM-KISAN is a very significant program for small and marginal farmers. With the 20th installment likely around the corner, farmers should ensure both their paperwork and verification processes are complete; this will increase the chance of the ₹2,000 installment dropping before delays begin to impose hassle.
